DECORATED MAKAH BASKET
Well preserved early 20th century Makah basket, Pacific Northwest with umiak and whale depicted on its side. The color of the decoration is brighter than is usually found on a basket of this age. The only issues are soiling of the top, a few dropped weaves, and some damage to the cedar flange that the top seats on. PENOBSCOT COVERED BASKET Early 20th century Penobscot Nation covered basket. Very good condition. As usual, the dyes are completely faded on the exterior. There is only very minor damage to a couple of the curlicues.
